Pixel editing with Processing

According to Wikipedia, “Image editing” encompasses the processes of altering images, whether they be digital photographs, traditional analog photographs, or illustrations. Images are stored in a computer in the form of a grid of picture elements, or pixels. These pixels contain the image’s color and brightness information.
In our case, we altered digital photos and learned mor about how to manipulate pixels and techniques to overlay several images. (continue reading…)

Music player and fourier analysis with Processing

Today’s processing task was about programming a music player. There are several ways to implement music tasks (playing, recording etc.). I took the Minim library. Another one is the Ess audio library. I heard from my colleague Jürg Stalder that Minim didn’t work on his Mac Book and therefore he realized it with Ess – and as we can see, it works too.

First experiences with ‘Processing’

Today in ‘Multimediatechnik’ we had the exercise to write some processing apps.
Processing is an Open-Source programming language and integrated development environment built for the electronic arts and visual design communities, which aims to teach the basics of computer programming in a visual context, and to serve as the foundation for electronic sketchbooks.
